LG 3000 with Nordstrand DC4 and Audere pre amp

I just posted this in the regular forum section but it might be more appropriate here.

I am interested in purchasing a Lg 3000 with The Nordstrand DC4 pick ups and Audere 4 band pre amp. Has anyone played one with these specs? I have played a Roscoe set up with the normal Bartolinis but not with this.

The bass emporium has one that i love but I wanted to here some TB-ers input.

The bass looks gorgeous but I am not ready to pull the trigger yet. Any info would be great. Thanks

Well, heck yeah I've played several with those specs....shoot, I've played THAT one!

It's going to be a bit more "modern/bright" than the standard Bartolini setup, but still be a "Roscoe" in every way. That particular bass was real snarly and snappy, nice grind to it, but still had a huge bottom end and could get real smooth and warm by backing off the treble and high mids a bit, favoring the neck pickup with the blend, and maybe dialing just a wee bit of bass up.

If I were a 4 stringer, that would be a solid candidate for my specs for a slapper's delight bass.

Gard, thanks for the input on this, it looks like i will be pulling the trigger on something like this soon. Anything in the works? I emailed Roscoe the other day with questions on a bass. here are some specs I am looking for.

Highly different/exotic burl or spalted maple top with matching headstock

Nordy PU
Audere 4 band
swamp ash body

I saw the one you posted 5776, its sweet beautiful, Anything like that coming up with the options mentioned above?

Thanks!!

Mike -

Just replied to that e-mail, and no, we don't have anything with just these types of specs on the short list to be finished.

I'd either go after this one if you can (it really is nice!), or place a custom order with "the dealer of your choice" to get exactly what you want.
