LG3000 #5742 (Jan 2008)

It will be mine. Oh yes... it will be mine

Specs:
Swamp Ash Body
Ebony Sapwood top
Maple-Purpleheart Neck with Walnut Streamers
24-Fret Ebony Board
angled Bart Pickups
18v Bart Pre
Black Hardware

Gonna give Roscoe a 2nd shot... this time 34" scale 4-string. I tried an LG3005 a couple of years ago and just couldn't connect. Ditto for other 5-strings. Old dogs, new strings, yada yada...

I've always loved ebony boards.

Should make a nice complement to my Sadowsky Metro RS-4. Very different yet wicked beasts.

Very nice! I'm finding that a LG3000 is the perfect compliment to my Sadowsky 4-stringer.

Two totally different flavors of kickass. Right on!

That pic looks like Atlanta Bass Gallery's wall. What do I win?

God Bless, Ray

You are indeed correct, sir.

For that, you win our friendship.

Congrats Asher! Hope you dig your Roscoe as much as I dig mine.

Arrived today. I cleaned the fretboard, put on a new set of my favorite strings, tightened the truss rod a smidge, and lowered the strings a hair. It plays like buttah and the tone cuts like a knife.

The info in the letter is as follows: Completed May 15, 2008. Ebony top, swamp ash body, natural finish, neck is maple with purpleheart center lamination and maple and cherry accent laminations. The fingerboard is black ebony.

Also, the photo from the shop didn't do it justice, so here's a fresh one.

One-year follow-up

It's been just over 1 year since I purchased this bass, and it remains a wonderful instrument that I use and own exclusively; there are no other basses in my household.

Dare I say, it's cured my GAS.
