Saturday afternoon, I got to meet a guy I've always wanted to meet, and hang with him as well as his wife & daughter.
George Furlanetto!!!
Great guy, very friendly and easy to talk with. He was visiting his Greensboro dealer, who also happens to be ours. We even dragged him down to the Roscoe Sawdust Factory for a quick & dirty (hey, it's a wood shop, you can't stay clean!
) tour and notes swapping session.
Unfortunately, Keith was committed elsewhere and couldn't do the hang!
Anyhow, here's a photo of George & I (and someone else who's name I did not get, sorry...good player though - owns the ash BN5 that George is holding in the photo!), one thing I didn't expect - George is TALL! I'm a good 6'2", and as you can see, he's got at least a couple inches on me!
Oh, and the reason I look so grubby is that I'd had a gig the night before and didn't get home until after 4am, I'd literally just woke up and run up to do the hang....
