Movies & Roscoe Basses??

After a grueling day at the hospital I came home late in the evening and turned on the tube and saw that 'On Any Sunday' was on so I started watching. Kinda boring, but I figured it would help me get to sleep, so.... The party at the mansion scene begins and the band playing is meh, but then something catches my eye and now I'm wide awake.. Is the bass being played a Roscoe?? I'm now watching intently waiting for the camera to pan to the bass player again. It does but far too quickly, but it sure looks like a Roscoe head stock to me... So I'm asking if anyone can answer the question for me since I can't make the call for sure..

Anybody???

It's a long complicated story Brother Ray. It would take at least two gallons of a fine tequila on a fishing boat in the warm Baja California waters, fishing for Marlin on a hot summer day to relate the full story. Long story short, It will be a long, tedious, recovery, but the wife is slowly getting better..

I'm not sure if I saw that movie or not.....

I definitely remember the name. Surely a huge football fan like Gard would have seen it an know if a Roscoe was in the movie!

Now I might just have to rent the movie!

P.S. Glad to hear the wife is getting better! Best wishes for sure.

Not sure, but want to rent it anyway. I am a football nut, although not as rabid as our dear leader......

Surely hope your wife is feeling better and life is getting back to normal for ya.

Thanks all for the well wishes fellas. It is very appreciated to say the least. Her recovery is a long way off, but at least, for now, the road to recovery is clear..
I will say this though... It's great to be back so to speak..

It's great to have you back, Steve. Continued well wishes and Roscoe-induced medicinal low frequency waves your way!

I dig that movie and will have to take a peek. Side note - I was watching a Biography show on Al Pacino last night and they spent a few minutes on the film. Small world.

I treid searching Youtube, only clip involving a party I could find, there was a band playing KC and the Sunshine Band's "That's The Way I Like It", may even have been them, couldn't see much, low quality, and no closeup.

I think I saw a SKB-ish bass with a maple board, dark colour, maybe red?

You all are the best. Imagine, finding out that a gaggle of lunatic Roscoe head brothers is the best medicine there is period. You all are just too cool...

Steve,

Wonderful to see ya back in the forum!

Things have been getting out of hand around here in your absence - Ray's been beating me up, and Bill's been trying to steal my girlfriend!

I want you and your wife to know that I'm thinking about you both every day, and wishing all the best. It really makes me happy to hear that her recovery is in sight.

Rock on and stay strong, my brother!

Same goes for me Steve, glad you're able to join in again, and especially glad all is on the upswing.

God Bless, Ray
