Any Roscoe dealers there?
I'm going to be there all of next week with nothing to do. I'm traveling with my wife on a business relate trip (her's) and will be able to go exploring during the day and actually a couple evenings too.
Let me know! |

It's been a few years since I've been there (unfortunately) but overall I've been there roughly a half-dozen times. Great music scene - lots of blues, jazz, and terrific original music as well. Tons of culture, some great coffee, and if you're a bookstore junkie, you'll be very happy. |

Jerry,
I love coffee and books and it would be real cool to find a good blues and/or jazz club.
Should be fun! |

Joe, if you do make it there, please play that pine Roscoe (assuming they still have it in stock) - I'm really curious to get an idea of the sound of that one. |

...of course timing is everything. maybe I can find a good time to go/come.
I've never seen a bass made our of soild pine. That would have to be real light. If I go I'll definitely check that one out. |

Solid pine bass = killer tone!

Traffic shouldn't be too bad if you head up there in the morning. I drove from Portland to Seattle so my arrival time was about 10:30 and it was a smooth drive.

Give a shout if you drive up, I work about 2 blocks from BNW, will treat you to a good cup o coffee.

US 101 on the coast. (Treat the wife to a side trip.)
US 30 through the Columbia River Gorge. Lush forest to high country desert in Pasco Wa. I've driven this several times.
Both of these are more than a day trip though.
Have a great trip. |

I'm a sucker for a nice bass and good cup of coffee! Not to mention a chance to meet another Roscoehead! |

I was actually fortunate enough to play that bass in the shop before she shipped out. It took me and Greg (Rocket) a few guesses to figure that one out. I think Keith found a solid and stable piece of pine he wanted to test out and walla was the story.
Anyways I havnt played a variety of bodies but it had plenty of Roscoe goodness. Not exceptionally light (as I thought it may be) but a nice balance.
