My first impression…
I was amazed with the body small size and the excellent design, its lines are spectacular and it has Natural matte satin finish, the body is in ash engranced grain and the top is in Maple flame. At the beginning I though the bass was a bit pale but after few days receiving light it has acquired a beautiful tone. I am really impress with the way they grasped my idea to do a custom jack, just as I had described them, is easy to connect and very comfortable to play seated, there is not a single possibility that it will get unplugged by stepping the cable.
The Finishes are of very good quality except for some small bubbles but they are invisible you just get to noticed them when you touch it.
When I plugged it in….. !!! What a great surprise!!! I have never heard such a powerful bass in my life... And I’ve being playing electric bass for more than seventeen years!! It is amazing the tone that gives the Chechen, I love it, is very, very definite and sensitive to all kinds of fingerings, tone, even thought is not brilliant, is very to clear
and the low tones have good definition also.
The neck is very comfortable as everybody announced, the adjustment that had left Keith is very comfortable, but my pulsation is bit strong (also I am double bass player) and in some strings was buzzing a little, but nothing that couldn’t be solved raising a little the bridge, the result: Not fret buzz at all, even thought the cords are very close to the fingerboard.
About the electronics:
I like a lot the Bartolini sound, although the roscoe-bartolini sound really surprised me ….it is very solid and in set with the preamplifier Aguilar OBP3 is great. The low tones are very powerful, but defined, I prefer to use high tones to half and just raise them when I touch slap. On the other hand the middle tones offer a great variety of possibilities, from a sound similar to fender to a much more modern one. The only thing that seems strange is that when i plug it in my place .... It tunes AM radio stations!!! I don’t know how to clear that.

In conclusion after a year waiting, I can say that the bass fulfilled and surpassed all my expectations. Now I just have to try it in big concerts, after all that’s the final test … I will let you know how this baby behave.
By the way…. the fifth cord… simply “canta” (sings) you can do whatever you want, It responds to you in all audible range, is spectacular, you can slap it, and sounds very clear… really is the best fifth of the market… !!!the best B !!!
