My Dream Roscoe - FINALLY Placed My Order!!

Okay, I am super super super hyper right now!!!

Specs finalized - Deposit paid today!!

I don't have a number yet, but I don't care... I gotta share this with all the RoscoeHeads!
EDIT: I do have a number!! Say hello to #6113!!!!!!!!!
Here's what my new Dream Roscoe is gonna be:

LG-3005 - Fretted
Exhibition-grade Bubinga Top & BACK (THANKS GARD!)/Maple accent stripe/Purpleheart Sandwich on Swamp Ash body
Maple/Purpleheart/Maple neck
Spalted Purpleheart fingerboard with Sapwood (50/50)
Mirror/split 12th fret inlay in Spalted Purpleheart/Sapwood (same style as #6085)
Diamondwood nut
Black Hardware
Bartolini CB pickups (slanted, of course)/Bartolini Preamp with 3-Position mid toggle switch (instead of 2-way push/pull)
Hardshell case

This one is gonna be a stunner, folks!

Thank you, sir! I think it most certainly will be! How much longer do you have to wait for yours?

Well, I just got the word from Gard today that the body for mine was getting prepped to be cut out as of this morning, so it should have been cut to shape today, I think. And he said that neck was close to being done, too, so I don't think it should be too much longer.

What kind of a (rough) time frame did they give you for yours?

Oh, I have no idea as of right now. Bass Emporium should have sent them the order confirmation at some point today. I hope I got a good number - I'm weird that way. Haha.

Thanks, guys! You could say I'm a little excited

I've been wanting to have my own Roscoe built ever since I first played one, and this one already looks like it will surpass anything I ever could have dreamed of! I was hoping there would be a nice top available for me to choose, but I had no idea it would look like THIS!

Hopefully, I can coax Gard into posting the progress pics..

If not, I'll be more than delighted to put them up. This is the first time I've had anything made for me, and it's even more special that I get to share this experience with fellow Roscoeheads!

By the way, is there a Roscoe wait support group? I have a feeling I'll need a sponsor who I can call at all hours of the night, just so they can tell me "I feel your pain, man... I feel your pain."

Yeah, a wait/support group would be cool. But, Gard was kind enough to post progress pics of mine in my thread now, so mine is starting to become more of a reality now (before, all I had to look at was a picture of a chunk of wood).

That top you picked out should look killer. Can't wait to see this one come together.

And yes, I do feel your pain..............But hopefully in a few weeks mine should be going away.

If you find yourself unable to sleep at night, standing on your front porch at 3:00 am, staring blankly at your watch, wondering why the big brown truck isn't here with your new baby, while your wife packs her suitcases and gets the kids things together to go to her mothers house, because you dumped all of the mashed potato's onto your plate at dinner last night and began to crudely carve a Roscoe bass out of the mess with your fork imploring your wife to understand that this means something to you.
Then never fear Oh Ye who waits... This is the place to hang...

Well I'm starting to lay out a trip to Roscoeland in the coming weeks so I'll gladly post pics (Gard willing) for you guys. Not the best photographer in the world but have a decent cam and lens.

Cant wait for this probationary period at work to pass so I can clear some debt and place an order

He gets bonus points for catching and continuing the quote from Young Frankenstein.

...that's FRANK-UN-STEEN!!!!!

Let's just leave Frau Blucher and the horses out of this...but if you could please bring me Terry Garr circa 1974, I would be very grateful.
