My journey begins this Thursday...

As the thread title implies, my vacation starts Thursday. My destination? Many. Where? Eastbound. Yes, I am going to head to Roscoeland. I look forward to seeing where the magic happens and what makes these instruments so special. I will also be traveling north to Rocket Music to check these beauties out. Needless to say, I'm looking forward to it. Well, that and hopefully a couple pints from some local brewpubs.

Idaho to North Carolina, just to see the Roscoe shop?!?!?

THAT folks is dedication.

Y'all all need to take notes from Mr. Unit.

Bob (quick Bob, spell your name backward!), looking forward to the visit, and I will absolutely treat you to a few very good beers at our local brewpub.

If you're expecting that kind of service in Blacksburg, I hope you like Bud Light.

I'm sure I will have my fill of Bud Light while in Salina, KS. Them flatlanders gotta hankerin' for the swill.

The Roscoe shop is one of many destinations, however, certainly a priority on my list.

So cool boB! oops! I mean Bob!

That definitely compares to a kid going to the North Pole!
Come to think of it, it's rumored that Roscoe's are made by elves!

You're hitting the mother lode dude! Rocket Music has more finished Roscoe's than Roscoe does!

I don't know where else you're going but it won't hold a candle to visiting the world of Roscoe and the Rocket Music (such a strange name for a music store? What's up with that Greg?). That is of course unless the Mrs. ask your favorite part of the trip.....the correct answer would be "why visiting the antique stores & spending time with you dear"!

P.S. If there's no Mrs. just scratch that last comment!

Actually, what I believe she said about Roscoe was something like "We're going".

Make sure you pick up a little something to remember your visit. Greg has a nice collection of somethings hanging on his wall that would be delightful reminders as the years pass, and will only improve with age.
Just leave a little room in the car. The cases aren't exactly tiny.

Safe travels! Send out a yell when you're in Blacksburg, and those of us who can will stop by and say hi!

Hey, Bob - let me know when you might be coming through. I've got some vacation time coming up myself, but I hope it's AFTER you come through.

And Blacksburg is full of wonderful bars (we are a college town, after all). Gard has managed to down a few here, even though he barely lets me sit at the same table with him when the Bud Light comes around

I only let you in if you can beep your horn and nail the unison line right after the intro section.

We didn't get very far. Salt Lake City, Utah to be exact. Now we're trying to figure out how get around these crazy snow/wind storms. I-70 closed=lame. Hopefully, Friday will truly be TGIF.
