For this particular performance, my 11 year old decided he REALLY wanted to use my Roscoe fretless. He's a little hard to hear in the mix, but he's holding it down pretty well. Well enough that he's getting a Squire fretless for Christmas. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfGBYWxw2xU

Awesome stuff. I have my son's first middle school concert next Thursday night. He's on percussion though so no borrowing dad's axes. |

Super job on Stairway by those young cats! We run lessons at our store, and it's amazing to me how the kids today are learning pretty much the same songs I started on. AC/DC, Zeppelin, Cream, Stones, etc. It's kinda cool on the one hand, but also kinda sad on the other. Who's gonna be the Led Zeppelin for this generation? P-diddy? Keith Urban? Kanye? I don't think so. Somebody give me some hope and name a quality band that's writing enough good material that will endure and be worthy of a radio "Rock Block" 20 years hence. |

Excellent stuff all around - great to see the next generation of cats killin' it on the same tune I learned at that age. Thanks for sharing this, and kudos to your son. (And to his Dad for encouragement as well as sharing one badass bass.) |

I only let him read out the name on his P-Bass bridge ONCE.
