My Roscoe

Gard,

Do you have build info (date, etc) for much older Roscoe basses? I've got an LG3005 that I bought in (iirc) 1996 and still have. Looks a smidge different than some of the new ones, but mostly the same. My serial is #3386. Looks to be bookmatched flamed maple top on swamp ash body, pau ferro fb on a rock maple/purpleheart neck. Barto SBs angled in the sweet spot, Wilkinson bridge, Gotohs.

Just curious!

Paul

(yes, I know, pics or ban.... soon! lol)

Paul -

Unfortunately, no, our records from that period are incomplete, and there is nothing in them on your bass. Sorry!

If you could either post some photos or e-mail them to me (info@roscoeguitars.com), I will be happy to do my best (and get a bit of help from Keith) to identify all of the specs on the bass.

Can't tell what the fingerboard is from those photos - in some they look like Pau, in some they look like Spalted Purpleheart sapwood...

Based on the serial number, it was built in the mid-90's, which matches with your purchase date (it probably wasn't in stock at the dealer long...).

Awesome, thanks! I'll try to get a better pic of the fingerboard too.
