Hey "X", hate to be the one to extinguish your " Flaring GAS" on this particular Roscoe but TB'er "Ghiadub" pulled the trigger on it a few days ago! I too had that pesky "Flaring GAS" pain for a full out totally Roscoe Red SKB 3006 at BBH but alas it is now in the "Sold Gallery"! |

Oh well...congrats to Ghiadub.

Tony,
Everythings wonderful! From the look of your profile you're not hurting on great basses anyway!
That is a sweet looking Roscoe 6 though! |

(a few more wouldn't hurt, though. My wife might hurt me, but that's a different story.)

I gotta tell everyone...I love TB! Especially the Roscoe forum! I've had so many people looking out for Roscoes and pm'ing me or posting in this thread...made me shed a tear ...this is a brotherhood!
Thanks to everyone for letting me know when things come up. Hopefully I'll bring a Roscoe back in the fold when I get some cash together.

But, next time around, I need to do a custom order.
34" scale 5 string w/19mm spacing at the bridge (unless they'd do 20mm bridge spacing---hint, hint?? ). |

I have average sized hands, I just prefer w-i-d-e spacing. And 34" scale is just a matter of personal preference. I have nothing against 35", but I've found that I am tending to gravitate more towards 34" nowadays. |

I like booty in my bass.

It doesn't, however, have the HUGE bottom that a Bart/Bart Roscoe has.
I better shut up now---talking Warwicks in the Roscoe forum might result in a visit from the Gardfather.

I considered ordering one given the run on SSI 5-strings I've had recently (thanks again, by the way!), but Gard wisely counseled that I should only do that for a custom order |

As for talkin' Warwicks in the Roscoe forum...we'll handle that privately...

(Sad but true story: Back in the late 90's, I was the music director/bassist for a country act out of FL that was with the same label that broke Billy Ray Cyrus.... )

Sorry to hear that Billy Ray is broke!
That would explain his achy, breaky heart! | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
