Not sure if this applies to the 18v circuit but on my older 9v roscoe with maple/maple neck, mahogany body, maple top, turning the treble and bass all the way down yields an amazing tone for recording. Not at all what I'd expect.
Could someone with the 18v circuit try this and let me know what the tone is like? |

I boost the mids a bit and cut the bass about half and the treble about half. I have the 18 volt pre, so yeah, that works well for those pres too. |

My Roscoe inherently has lots of lows, so I almost always cut some bass anyways, but I do a little more when recording because it cleans it up and it does cut through the mix better. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
