Well, my brief flirtation with a twin has led me to the Roscoe Kool-aid stand where I have drank deeply. The twin will have to find another suitor as, alas, her body is just too svelte for my physique.
So what's a guy to do? Well, call Greg and order a Century 5 fretless
We have it mostly sorted - light weight goal (so ash body), unlined diamondwood board, black hardware, Bart BTMB. The only real question is aesthetics. I'm not really into classic "pretty" basses. Though I consider my Deep5 stunning, it also is a bit odd with the chevrons, and my Mouse bodies are more on the weird-yet-clean lines (see below). For this I'm thinking fairly psycho but a limitation is that I want an oil finish so that lets out a lot of the buckeyes, etc. So far I think this is the top runner:
With this as an interesting counterpoint:
Though it may be work going gloss to get this:
Imagine that with an odd diamondwood with some greens/blues/etc. The audience won't need to provide their own drugs...
For reference my current sibling bodies:

Gard is suggesting a birdseye maple fretless board with the myrtle. Hmm...
Or go burl with rainbow diamondwood |

That with black diamond wood should be "classy." Still wondering what that crazy burl would look like though...and maybe Gard will find some wacky walnut or other oil-friendly top in the pile in the next day or so. Either way going to finalize by Monday in the spirit of expedience. |

Embrace the Dark Side. |

I'd also think you'll get some of the dark grain on the sides and a$$ end in on the action in the final piece.

if you did ack with a birdseye diamondwood board the rip in the space time continuum would be so big even Brett Fauvre's ego couldn't plug it.
