New Little Girl 3006

well, i'd planned to get some cool photos outside in the natural light, but it's been a busy week to say the least

anyhow, here's my first 6er and second roscoe, courtesy of rocket music:

LG 3006
Swamp Ash body
Spalted Burl Maple top
Pau Ferro Fretboard
Bartolini/Bartolini

i'll get more descriptive at a later time, but in short, this instrument has a really nice, slightly compressed sound that adds really a completely new sound compared to my LG3005, which is a 1-piece swamp ash body with Bart/Demeter

i had the chance to string it with DR lo-riders and set it up last night, and this is probably the best instrument i've ever played--i had to part with a very special les paul to afford it, but i think i made the right decision

Thumbs up

Awesome looking Roscoe!

I love the LG 3006 style and the top/FB combo looks great together. Very elegantly looking bass.

Congrats!

Said better than I could offer.

Congratulations - that is a beautiful instrument. I've said this probably a hundred times now, but no one matches tops to fingerboards like Roscoe.

well, first rehearsal last night, and i'm wondering why I didn't get a six string sooner--very pleased, and I really dig the bartolini preamp

()smoke(), excellent! I'd been wanting to move up to one for years, and was finally able to this past March. Will *not* be going back to a 4-string as my main bass in the imaginable future, with the possible exemption of an upright (1940s-era Kay).

Happy 4th, indeed!
