A fretless SKB 3005 #4974
Unbeleiveably awesome in feel, tone and looks.

...what does this have to do with your state of mental stability?
Metal or not, I'm certain you're certifiably nuts...why else would you be in this forum?

I had no idea. Yet another new cool piece of trivia I can use to get the Mrs. all glassy-eyed. I shall keep my jokes about not playing too fast lest ye fretboard metal expand. Wait, was that my outside voice again? |

Keep in mind that a diamondwood fingerboard essentially IS epoxy - it is a laminated birchwood product that has an epoxy resin drawn through it via a vacuum process. The wood is essentially a matrix to hold the epoxy and give it a nice appearance. It is sonically the equalivalent of an epoxy coated fingerboard, but it is not "coated".
Our fretless ebony fingerboards are sealed to limit moisture issues, but NOT coated in epoxy. Quote:
