Yeah, I'll be a good boy and sit tight until then. I've always got King Koa for clarity, and I'm sure both basses will make an appearance that night. | You two CDO sufferers need to get together and compare notes...here's your sign, by the way:

I just put a set of Black Beauties on and they sound better than the D'Addarios. I think I have lowered the pickups a little too far as the lower strings are a little boomy. I sent SD a Email this morning asking if installing a resistor in-line would reduce the output, so I am waiting to hear back. My wife has reeled in my spending so buying a set of Barts is out of the picture for me right now. I am open to donations if someone has a set Bartolini M45 pickups lying around.
My EMG pickups and preamp are on their way to CA to see if they can be sorted out.
What I really need is one of these, either would do. Quote:

Like Jeff, the more I look, the more I like the Maple, I just can't find a way to hide that big of an expenditure. I would a need deferred payment plan until September as that will probably be about the time all the medical bills from my accident are finally settled. It is hard to believe the accident was 07/08 and things are still being dragged out.
Late at night, when I am all alone I bring up these pictures with naughty thoughts on my mind. Quote:

"Put 150K resistors is series with the pickup leads going to the blend pot. That will reduce the pickup level by about 4dB. Higher values will reduce it more (250K - 6dB), lower values less (62K - 2 dB)." - Seymour Duncan
Hmm, I could install a 3 way mini switch and when the sound guys cut my direct out I could just reduce the resistance to raise my output, lol.
I will pick up some 150K resistors this weekend and give it a try. Hey can anyone put a ohm meter on their Bartolini pickups and let me know what they read? | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
