New recording

Ok, I'm going to eat my words about the Demeter preamp here, because I love the direct sound I got for this recording. Just plugged right into my laptop. It really was just that dungty amp that killed my sound.

So to here the Roscoe doing bass lines and lead at the same time, hit up http://www.myspace.com/ianunderwood.

The bass is sounding good ... nice work. Glad to see it's not the bass that was the problem.

"Straight" is so amazing. I love the sound I get out of my basses going straight into the computer.

Here's a thought - does anyone just use a something like a Crown power amp (just a volume/gain control) to amplify their Roscoe because of the great wood combination and electronics/pickup combinations.

The more I play, the more I think I should play through a Crown, a parametric eq (just to dial "ring" out) and speaker cabs.

(...and I don't even have a Roscoe yet...)

great sound

Snarf,
Sounds great by the way. I really enjoy listening to other players voice their opinion about the bass. Don't you? What software are you using? It really sound absolutely wonderful!!! Also what wood combinations do you have on your bass. I have used the Demeter and I love everything about the pre.
