SKB 3005 body style
Swamp Ash body with enhanced grain
Mac Ebony Finger board
Aguilar OBP-3 pre with coil tap for pickups
Nordstrand pickups
Exhibition myrtle burl (flame)
Diamondwood nut
Black Hardware
It’s currently scheduled for completion sometime in November. I’ll post some pics when they’re available.
I'm really looking forward to hearing the Nords in a Roscoe! |

You did well get a slot for November

You know it's your fault!
Home,
If this one's anything like the last one, you'll have to look else where for your next one! |

My current Roscoe with the Demeter pre is everything I could possibly want in a traditional Roscoe sound. This one needs to be a bit more aggressive sounding and hopefully able to cop some J bass sounds (but Roscoe style; i.e. thicker sounding). |

We can form a support group! | My thread will be posted very soon. I believe mine will be scheduled for a February delivery, which worked out PERFECT for me. I was allowed to go a little more overboard with my specs than I had originally planned to do, as it is after Christmas, and tax return time, and I have become really, really good at convincing the wife that I really do need things like a wenge wedge neck.

I considered the wenge wedge neck but had to stop some where.......
You'll have to post all of the spec's for the new Roscoe |

You'll have to post all of the spec's for the new Roscoe | I will be posting, in the very near future, I think. Details are just getting finalized so the order can be placed.

Lot's of choices that's for sure! Post those spec's when you tie them down. |

That's looking to be a sweet bass JOME! I can't wait to see progress pics. Specs are very similar to the plan that I originally had for my new bass, though a few things have since changed. |

Those changes wouldn't include going with an Audere pre would it?
I figure one major departure from the norm are enough for me at one time. I'm blindly going with the Nord's bassed on other TB'ers comments. I loved the sound of the Aggie OBP-3 w/Bart p/u's in a couple of previous Roscoe's so I figured worse case I can always drops some Bart's in if I totaly don't dig the sound. |

I had the OBP-3 with Bart pups in my Roscoe (which I'm shipping out tomorrow to its new owner) and was considering dropping an Audere in that before I decided to sell it and just order a new bass The Bart/Ag combo sounded killer, but there were certain things I thought could be done better with another pre, and the Nordstrand pups are just something I want to try like many others here.
When I said similar, I mean right down to the wood choices, but like I said... still a couple decisions to be made. Thread to come next week probably

I look forward to checking out the final spec's that you go with too. So many TB'ers with new Roscoe's in the works!
Hopefully I'll have some top pic's sometime this week to share. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
