I'm new to the Roscoe forum, since I just got my 1st one last week- Century Standard 5 string Onyx with Maple neck. I love it. Tried Roscoe in Austin 2 years ago and said someday i'd get one. Already have Modulus Q5 with beautiful figured Maple body, so wanted to save $$ and went for the most affordable Roscoe. Needless to say, the hardware, electronics & neck are same. Someone mentioned earlier in a thread that they wanted a SKB, but may have to settle for C. Standard, I would say get the C. Stand. It plays better than the Modulus and is much lighter. |

God Bless, Ray

If you're like many of us, the first Roscoe is just the beginning of a long and wonderful relationship with the brand.
I don't think you'll find a cooler, kinder, or more helpful user forum anywhere. It's a great resource for getting the most from your Roscoe.

Yeah, everyone here is really cool and all...well, there is that dude Dave, him I'm not so sure about... | And lest I forget, the Roscoe GM (and the moderator of this forum) Gard is a true southern gentleman, which I was able to verify firsthand at the Get-Together at the Roscoe shop in June.
If he picks on you, it's only because he loves you. Just tell him to go lay by his dish and lick his junk.

Feels good, don't it?
I just got a Century Standard 5 identical to yours a week ago today! And I guess you can really appreciate how incredible these basses are already, since you prefer it to your Q5. You're not alone, my friend.
I had a brand new Q5 in exhibition quilted maple. It lasted about 3 months... See, I played a Roscoe LG3005 fretless one day, and it was all over. There was NO way anyone else was gonna get that one, so I sold the Q5 at a huge loss to make sure it would be mine. I've gone through plenty of basses since, but my LG isn't going anywhere - I'd live on the streets before I'd give her up.
I have since placed an order for my own fretted LG3005, and I grin from ear-to-ear whenever I think about it.
Gard and the family on here are truly some of the nicest, funniest, most helpful cats you'll ever encounter - and (at least I've been led to believe that) they're killer bassists as well!
Without a doubt, these basses are among the best in the world, and the ownership experience is something you won't find anywhere else. I have never been more proud to own anything in my life.
So once again, congratulations on becoming part of the family!! I can pretty much guarantee you that this Roscoe won't be your last.
PS: My Century Standard replaced a one-off, Elrick New Jazz Standard 5 in Burled Tasmanian Rose Myrtle that I bought new in July... I haven't looked back for a second.

-Ryan | I got my (first) Roscoe 2 weeks ago.
In the meantime I sold 4 basses I had and an other beat up old Yamaha is going in the trash.
So I'm down to two basses now: MIA Fender and a Roscoe.
Perfect 2 bass collection. Although collection will grow to again, another hopefully on it's way to be born. Not a Roscoe, but after that one I want an LG Signature. Will be for next year. |

-Ryan | Thanks Ryan, did you get yours through Bass Emporium? That's where I first played one, while my wife and our 2 girls were shopping at the Round Rock Mall! Since then I said - Gotta Have it! Unfortunately here in New England (Cape Cod), we are limited for high end bass dealers. I got mine through G Guitars in New Haven, CT |

I got both Roscoes, ordered my new Roscoe, the Elrick, the Modulus Q5, 3 or 4 Laklands, 2 Fenders, a used Carvin, my Bergantino HS410, umm... Yeah, the list goes on... All from Bass Emporium. Chuck and John have always treated me with great respect, which isn't usually the case for me (27 years old, long curly hair, look about 20, etc.).. Plus, Chuck sets up my basses better than I ever could hope to do on my own. They get my business every time without fail.
