New SKB 3006 #5480

I thought I'd better post a couple of pics of my new Roscoe SKB 3006 for y'all.
Bart/Bart electronics switched for Nordstrand dual coils and Audere pre with coil selector switches. A veritable cornucopia of sound.
Flame Maple top
Spanish Cedar body
Spalted Purpleheart board (I had to have one).
Maple/PH neck
Along with my Brubaker Lexa 6 this bass has the best workmanship and playability of any that I have owned or played. Not to mention it's a beautiful instrument. I am contented.

Thumbs up

Beautiful Bassman! I love the tight maple flame top! Very classy looking!
Roscoe 6'ers definitely play better than any other 6 that I've played.

That is a great looking natural flame top. Such crisp definition between the light and dark areas. Enjoy!

Thanks for the compliments.
It really does sound as good as it looks.
No sound clips as of yet. I'll post a couple when I get all set up. Just finished moving recently.

Hope you're away from the fireline...would hate to see "flame maple" take on a whole new meaning....

We are in Santa Ana, CA now which is about dead center between all the fires. We are not in any danger from the fires but everybody is getting their fair share of smoke and ash. The ash has covered everything. The smoke is in everyones eyes and lungs. The smoke has also made the moon plus the sunrises and sunsets rather beautiful & eerie.
We count ourselves lucky and fortunate compared to all the folks who have been evacuated & more so to those who have lost their homes. Tragic.
