Cool New Standard Plus Body Blanks!!!!

Yup, busy week last week, got some new tops processed, some of them were graded out for Standard Plus tops, and here we go -

First, a pair of really killer quilted maple with mineral streaking - these will do either Century or LG bodies, sorry SKB dudes:

EDIT: ...and just a moment later, on the left, going to the UK as well.

Now, onto a couple of unusual woods - stuff we've never worked with before!

Chilean Laurel Burl - two of 'em, will work with all three shapes:

EDIT: The cool stuff don't last long - on your left, going to the UK, on the right, going to VA.

OK. Turn this picture 90 degrees counter clockwise, and you can see a bat hanging with its wings wrapped around its body.

Very cool. This bass must be named "The Batman Roscoe!"

Do you guys have "carved" basses with the Chilean Laurel or is this a "test" with the Standard Plus line?

That's some unique stuff, very very cool!

God Bless, Ray

It's an available wood, we don't get it often as good quality stuff is not easy to come by. We do have a couple of "carved" top pieces available, one is reserved already, the other is still open...

Yeah! I really like those. I believe that aliens are imbedded in the wood!
