New to the world of Roscoe . . .

. . . and loving it! I recently bought Young's spalted maple LG3000 and have been floored by it ever since I laid my hands on it. I've been a G&L player for years, but, while I still think G&L makes a quality instrument and will always have at least one L2000 in my stable, I am totally sold on Roscoe! I've whole-heartedly made the switch. I can 't believe how light and comfortable this bass is. And the build quality is out-of-this-world! Its an amazing, functional, work of art. The bart/bart pup and pre combo sounds much, much better than I expected (I had tried non-NTMB bart pres before and wasn't really blown away by them). I've always shyed away from 5 strings because of their weight and a back injury that still causes me problems. But, now that I'm sold on Roscoes, I just purchased a lightweight (8.5lbs) LG3005 that's due to be delivered tomorrow; its pictured below. So, I just wanted to introduce myself to all the other Roscoe fans and say thanks to Roscoe and crew for making me a very happy bass player!

Ben

Hey, we can all take our Roscoes into Guitar Center. Each of us plug into a different amp, turn it up as loud as we can, play something that makes no musical sense and annoy the guitards for a change.

And ask 'em about getting 5 & 6 string sets for 34" and 35" scales. . . then insist on half wounds just to mess with their heads!

Don't forget to patch into some wahwah pedals, phase shifters, distortion drivers and maybe one of those totally guitarded "Rockmans".

Too funny.

That sounds like fun.

Sheldon was here this morning for a while picking up his LG 2005, that's a neat piece...what we need to do is get him to drag his buddy Arnold Perry over with him on 7/18...that would be...interesting...

EDIT:

OK, I just checked the baseball schedule, and there's a game the 18th at 7pm!!!

I'm feeling an impromptu GTG for a Friday, anyone up for it???

7/18 should work for me - I'd have to take a vacation day, but I could probably swing that. I'd love to do it! If we can sure-up the date, I'll see about taking that day off.

Come on down Youngs, I won't let Databass beat you up. He may raise his pimp hand at you and take your bass, but he will not beat you up.

C'mon down Youngs. . . you owe me like 3 or 4 beers anyway.

And while you're at it, bring back the Roscoe you got from Dave that should have stayed in NC!

...so, no comments on turning 7/18 into a GTG with a side trip to the baseball game afterward?

I think it sounds like a GREAT idea. . . would this be the official G2G for this year - OR - just one that happened to fall into place?

I don't know if I have that night available yet. BUT! I need to get over to the shop and lay down some body templates.
