Nordstrand Fat Stacks on LG3005

I'm thinking of replacing the Bart soapbars on my fretted LG3005 with Nordy Fat Stacks. Does anyone know if this is a good combination? I have the "standard" Bartolini preamp.
I'm looking for a fatter tone with everything set flat on my bass. I can seem to get it with tweaking the bass pot and scooping the mid's a little but it just doesn't sound "real".
Thanks,
Eddy

I had this LG with Fat Stacks and the standard Bart preamp, and it was 100% smoking! Not sure what your bass is made of, but mine was mahogany. With those pickups, it was full, fat, and had punch for days.

Mine's mahogany too with purple-heart fret board. That's what I was hoping. I've used Nordy humbucking jazz pups before on another bass and I really like them.

I think you'll like them, I know I did. I have DC's in my SKB, and I prefer the FS's. Just not enough to spend the money on them though..
