P/J pickups for Roscoe?

Would Roscoe do a different pickup configuration like a Bart P/J in one of the models? Or are HB type pickups the only ones?

I don't think I've ever seen a pic of any other pickup type configuration before.

They used to use Bart P/J's, and J/J's, on their really old models.

We are not set up to do PJ or JJ typically on new basses.

However, our stock (not the CB's) pickups are quad coils, and if you're competent with a soldering iron and reading schematics, you can actually wire them up to be P or J style pickup in function, if not in appearance.

I heard, somewhere on here, that I could set them up to coil cut switch(I know you don't like them, though ), but in the cut mode, it would be a P style... is that really possible?

Very interesting!!

And if we're not so handy with a soldering iron and reading schematics, would/could this be a factory option? Perhaps with a toggle switch that would do that?

I think if you order a new Roscoe they can do JJ or PJ routes, Greg's Century Signature has J pickups.

But if you can get the same tones with just some soldering tricks and a toggle switch . . .

Unless, of course, you wouldn't want the Barts. But that's just not right.

Although, I must say that Greg's personal fretless (with whatever he has in it) sounds absolutely fantastic.
