Photos of the Roscoe in action!

Here's a few photos a friend got at a recent gig, he's been experimenting with some new lenses, I thought there were some interesting shots.

Nice shots! Your friend has a great eye for composition as well as good gear. The bass looks fantastic, and at the risk of sounding a bit too metro, I dig the hat too. Since I started shaving my head I've been looking for the right hat...finding one of those is much harder than finding the right Roscoe, apparently.

Thanks for sharing the pics...

Hey Jerry,
From one that shaves his bean to another, finding a hat to compliment the clean look is futile. At best, wear a beanie when it's cold, otherwise just let the let illuminate the brilliance of the bean.

Uuuuummmmmmm.... Just let the sun illuminate the brilliance of the bean.. Sorry for taking a dull overpowered chain saw to the last sentence.

A couple of weeks ago I was asked at the last minute to come down to the local jazz bar to back-up a well known French sax and reeds player who happened to be passing through town and was interested in playing a set.

It sounded like a job for a Roscoe, photographed in action thusly...

Said sax and reeds guy, Didier Malherbe (on the right), was one of the founding members of the 70's prog rock group "Gong". He now plays with the ethnic-jazz ensemble "Hadouk Trio". In the photo he's playing a doudouk, an armenian reed flute. He also played the Lao mouth organ, the khaen.

World music isn't really my bag but it was a fun night.

Clint! You look a bit bored on that number! I bet if that big ole hanging bone fell down you'd wake up.
