Oh my!! You're so lucky you already have pics of your nearly completed bass. I'm still waiting for mine and kinda jealous yours looks so dang goood. Good choice going with the DC's + Aggie setup , cuz that's what I'll be getting too.

You won't be waiting much longer now man, the neck is in the spray booth, the body is just waiting for the final sanding/buffing.

Hey...that top looks familiar! And weren't you thinking of going with a blue/green or trans black over that top at one point?!?! I'm glad I was able to talk you down from that ledge.

I'd have to give this one the "thumb's up". It's amazing what a difference a few coats of gloss will do for a top. The flame in that baby really POPS!

No doubt! I'm glad you convinced me otherwise. If there's one thing I learned it is to trust Gard and Jay. You guys rule...

That top is awesome!

So what are you doing with the hole that was in place for the Audere Z-mode? Series/parallel/single coil for the DCs perhaps?

May I suggest a coil switch? I had it on the black Roscoe and it was a great alternative -- you lose some output but if you boost the bass, it's an excellent slap and "dance" tone.

Looks like they're putting in a humbucker/single coil switch in that spot where the Z-mode switch on the Audere goes, according to Gard.

It's Here!

It's here and the wait paid off.

I will post some pics now that I stole from Jay's website because he is a much better photographer than I am, and then a more in depth review tomorrow.

It was a real pleasure working with Jay and Gard and the Roscoe guys. You guys are awesome!

Well, sadly enough I haven't had much time to play the bass but I have some observations about the instrument and the build process I would like to share.

The customer service during the build experience was awesome. Jay and Gard are easy to get a hold of and easy to deal with. They always return calls and work with you until your questions are answered. I know this won't be my last Roscoe and definitely not my last bass from Blueberry Hill (and no, they're not paying me to say any of this). There were a couple of snafu's along the way that were not major in any way and were resolved pretty darn quickly, and better than I could have hoped for. One of them was probably my fault since I changed the specs so many damn times! (sorry, guys).

This finish work on this bass is second to none. I have played a lot of custom jobs and the fretwork on this bass is the best I have seen on any of them. I will try to post some pics to show just how neatly the frets are finished and seated. The neck pocket is airtight, as well. No gaps...everything is perfect. I really have to applaud the Roscoe guys for doing such a fine job from top to bottom of this bass. The minute I got it I took it to a local music shop to show the tech and the "bass guy" and they both marveled at the worksmanship.

After going through the building process I'm not so sure that I have the stomach for this stuff. I'm a little impatient, to tell you the truth, and I just kept second guessing myself. I also have a hard time telling what the top of the bass will look like when finished....coloring and figuring on the bass especially. I love the look of this bass but I pictured the top a little bit darker in my mind when finished. No fault of Roscoe or Jay...just my inexperience with the process, I guess. I will probably just buy finished basses from now on to avoid the wait and the uncertainty of what it will look like when done.

Overall this is a great bass, flawless craftsmanship, and great customer service. Thanks guys!

I hope to have some pics up soon and MAYBE some sound clips.
