Thumbs up

You're lucky...most pre-5000 serial numbers don't get a "hit" in our computer system, but you got one!

LG 3005
Figured Maple top
Spanish Cedar body
Cherry Sunburst finish
Bart 3-band preamp
Spalted Purpleheart fingerboard
Black hardware
Graphite nut

Completed and shipped September 2003.

PS: Nice ES-335! I had a similar one for a lotta years (had the trapeeze tailpiece, but same color). Great guitars.

Can't say with 100% certainty (since I didn't build it), but it is likely a 'board that is totally spalted sapwood. I've had basses in before where the fingerboard was 100% spalted purpleheart sapwood and I'd receive a LOT of inquiries about "the LG with maple fingerboard" even though the specs listed clearly said "spalted purpleheard sapwood 'board". If you don't take a close look, it can be deceiving.

For the record, after checking the photos, that is indeed purpleheart sapwood!

Nice bass, GCool.

It switches your preamp on and off via the ground (when you plug in a 1/4" jack it supplies ground to the pre).

One more thing; what is the radius of the neck on my bass? I guess that would be how to word it.....

I am doing a little fine tuning and adjusting and I am trying to make sure I have the correct radius gage.

Thanks

I belive it's a 16" radius. I know that the 3006 is 16".
