Does anyone have an electronic copy they care to share for a fellow Roscoe'r? Thanks! |

I believe that I included a copy of the standard Audere wiring with the pre. All that you should need to install the pre is the section to connect to the p/u's and batteries (which is the same for both versions). I believe that the only other differences between the Roscoe Audere and the standard Audere is that Roscoe eliminates that trim pots for the mid controls (that freq. is fixed on the Roscoe Audere).
Gard chime in if I'm incorrect. |

Gard chime in if I'm incorrect. | I thought you had sent me the Audere schematic too but when I went to install, I found 2 different Bartolini preamp schematics... I've been scratching my head for a few days, then I go to work with the intention of calling Audere and never think about it until I get home in the evening and it's too late then. Man I wish my mind (and body ) was 21 again. I never forgot a thing when I was 21. The standard Audere had striped wiring for the pickups whereas the Roscoe Audere has all solid color wiring then there's a yellow, brown and green solid wire too. |

It should tell you what you need to know (primarily the p/u and battery wiring). http://www.audereaudio.com/WiringPDFs/3ZB2BV4B.pdf |

Since I already had a factory Audere, I just laid it out along with the Roscoe Audere and started counting wires and deducing which wires might be right for which connections. The # of wires was not the same on both so I figured it out close enough and just figured I'd have to try a couple of options if my 1st trial didn't succeed. I just drew out the factory Audere schematic and started transposing how I thought the Roscoe Audere might be wired up. I figured the 1st part of the battle was getting the thing powered up, then after that it was finding which wire controlled the neck pickup and which controlled the bridge just as you posted Joe. After I had it up and running, I realized I had the 2 stacked knobs reversed and changed those and it was golden! Thanks for the help. |

My audere had the ribbon cable harness. Hopefully in the new modules w/o the ribbon cable, the wire orderes will still be the same. Based on comments from other TB'ers, you may want to ignore wire color. Wire strickly based on wire order (1,2,3,4,5). |

For the life of me I can't figure out how to wire the battery. Right now I'm running 9v to with the positive terminal going to the loose purple wire and negative wire going to the 3rd pin on the jack. When there's no battery the pickups are super sensitive and pick up the local NPR station. Would any Roscoe owners mind taking a snapshot of their wiring?

The battery wires should be the wires at one end of the ribbion cable. Audere has changed their wiring colors a couple of time so ...... beware using wire colors as guidelines! | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
