Roscoe Economic Stimulus Package

I thought surely this would have been mentioned by now, so, I'm going to tap you on the shoulder to see if you'd like to say something...

...indeed, sorry that I have not been as on the ball as I'd like to, but lately, I've been somewhat distracted...

Yes, folks, we have adjusted our minimum sales price for dealers from 25% maximum discount off retail to 30% maximum discount off retail for this week only. This only applies to in-stock items (no new orders, no "on the way" basses). Starting today, ending on Friday, so move fast if there's one out there you're interested in!

Cliff, yeah, I hear ya on that, it's difficult to settle when you can be specific on getting every detail as you like it (or ALMOST every detail...). Of course, there is something to be said for getting "hands-on" with an existing bass and finding it to be perfect without the wait and worry (will it really turn out the way I expect?).

Thanks for the support on the other stuff, it's appreciated, but I do need to get on with life, one way or another...so I'm trying to focus on the fun/good stuff (basses) as much as I can now.

That sounds like a great plan, playing bass helps me through so much in life and, judging by your two beauties, that shouldn't be too hard!

Kudos to Roscoe, albeit two weeks too late for me to benefit. (Hey - that's three correct spellings and usages of the "to" words in one complete sentence.)

Gard, all the best with everything. Take care.

I just saw a SKB 3007 on ebay. Now's your chance.

Good Luck,

Actually, NO, sorry, but this sale only applies to the LG, SKB, and Century SIGNATURE lines. The Century Standards have no discounts whatsoever, they sell for a set price. Sorry man!

Sorry, but that model has been discontinued and is being replaced with Data/Youngs Anti-Poacher model.

Hey, I haven't seen Youngs in a while, you don't think Data put out a contract on him do you?

I've noticed our precious brother Youngs on other threads regarding purchases of basses other than Roscoe...it is highly possible that he has poached so many fine Roscoes that "the thrill is gone" and has moved on to other pastures. My feelings on this matter are bittersweet.

Youngs is just fine, he just placed an order for a new bass last week...

...as for the Joe Meyer Signature model...well...once we find a reliable source of washtubs, we'll get right on it!

It is only fitting that we all humble ourselves and get to work finding a good source of tubs for this new revolutionary product line. We need to commemorate not only Joe but an instrument that can most truly epitomize his unique bass playing prowess...as to where the rest of us poor slobs need multiple strings, ole Joe can really "get down and make 'er happen" with just one.

There such a back order for those models that they'll likely never be discounted....

Would that be the model with the barbed wire inlay?

I will say that the single string eliminates some of the issues in the area of deciding which string to use and it also allows me to tune up in less time.........

It's also a great instrument for the intro to "Pipeline".......

.......maybe we should consider alternatives to the washtub.......how about instead of the acoustic model we go electric.....maybe a 2 speed Whirlpool with mutible jets!
