No - don't get sucked in by Facebook. Talkbass is much better. Facebook was designed by college students to communicate with college students. And most of the grown-ups of the world the went to college STILL want to be college students. Okay, Zuckerberg gets to be a billionaire before he's 25 off it, but why should we participate in that?

Now a MySpace Music - where we can visit and hear clips of folks playing their Roscoes, where the different tonality of woods and electronics can be sampled. THAT's sweet!!

And we don't have to "poke" anyone or write on somebody's wall or give them a bumpersticker....

That is a good idea. Another idea I have been thinking about is getting Roscoe Owners to put together some YouTube clips as well. We can link to them from the website like we currently have for the build videos on the home page.

The other project I am working on is the online owners database where you can register your bass. You will be able to search on a serial number and pull up the info about the bass. On the older basses that we do not have info on, we will have to rely on the owner giving real accurate info. I foresee this as being a place where we will have the following info:

Picture of Bass
Body Wood
Top Wood
Core Wood (optional)
Neck Wood
Finger Board
Nut
Hardware
Pickups
Preamp
Roscoe Dealer
Shipped Date
Date Sold to Owner
Original Owner (if info available)
Current Owner
Reported Stolen
Date Stolen
Area Stolen From

I work with Access and ASP, the site currenty resides on an apache server I believe. I will need some help from a Roscoe owner or TBer who programs in PHP to work on the MySQL end.
