Hey Bsharplflat, welcome to the forum!
I was all ready to type out a lengthy reply, then I read Joe's response, and realized he'd already done it.
Sorry, but I can't recommend that course of action - the cost for a new/replacement neck is essentially equal to the cost of a used bass.
I'd suggest either holding out for a fretted SKB 3006 to arrive, or look into a new one - consider the SKB/LG/Century Standards, they're very reasonably priced, and sound fantastic...

And no, Roscoe won't fret the fretless diamondwood board. It would require slightly wider fret slots (than std) due to the denisity/hardness of the diamondwood.
You might could find a good luthier to do it though.
As one more item of interest, I've been told that on the Roscoe fretless, the bridge is located in a slightly different location in order to achieve good intonation. It might still intonate properly with frets but just a word of caution. |
