Roscoe Nut

I've noticed that the nut on Roscoe basses is thicker on the B-string side than it is on the C-string side.

Why is this? I like how it looks, but does it have anything to do with string length or intonation?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but the search function does like short words like "nut".

Joe

If you have a diamondwood or ivory nut, this is just how Keith carves them, it is primarily an asthetic choice, although it does give a bit more "meat" to work with on the thicker strings as well. It has zero effect on the string length (the witness point is identical across the nut) or intonation (ditto).

Thanks man; fast response!
