Who told you? I say us Texans got robbed of our melody for that "Railroad" thing.

You buyin' that????

Awesome, Ray!

That's some schaweeeet Roscoe-on-Roscoe action!! What were your p/u settings on that one?

Joe: That's what I thought as well! Texas has a way of claiming they invented everything. Haha.

Ryan,

Everything was centered and flat on the ol' Standard. Sounds good dunnit?

BTW The way my Pop has it figgered we stole the tune from the railroad like we stole Texas from Mexico. But he says we're slowly giving Texas back. I say we keep the tune though.

God Bless, Ray

Badass, Ray. Nicely done, and thanks for sharing with us, brother! I am such a sucker for Americana...folk tunes, national treasures, etc. Two things here, if I may. First...of course...the melody. Front and center, true to the spirit, but with just enough LilRay in there so we know what's going on. Second, and for me more important...what makes songs like this work (or not) is the movement in the bass, particularly the 'pickup' measures to each melodic phrase. Done, and done.

Keep the tune, AND the Roscoe.

I thought everybody'd get a kick outta that one. To tell ya the truth I had to keep myself from giggling the whole time I tried recording it.

I wish I could be more technical but I just rolled with it. That's kinda embarrasing to say that I don't "know" what I'm doing but I'm wingin' it, but it's the truth.

Thank you much for the compliments guys!

Oh and the Roscoe's going nowhere . You'se guys rurnt me.

God Bless, Ray

You're damn right it sounds good!

I dunno if we're actually giving Texas back... It seems more like they took our bravado-filled "Come and Take it" statement as a challenge.

Speaking of youtube, here's some more Roscoe love from that showcase gig I did earlier this month... The audio is pretty good - it's a professionally mixed combination of the board feed and the ambient pickup of the Zoom H4N. For the former, the feed came from the Shuttle 9.0's DI.

Got to get my guitar on for those first three, including some harmonics (YES! ) on the last one.

Jerry, watch Rocio on the "Love Song" vid. She's killing me - I kept thinking the audio was off or something....

Thumbs up

Cool Jerry! Great playing!
Man that young girl can belt it out on "Emotions"! It looked like she wasn't even straining. She just opened her mouth and these awesome vocals came out!

I kept waiting for you to pull out the harmonica on the song and it never happened. Of course I read your post again and saw that it was "Harmonics"!

I was wondering how the harmonica was going to fit into the song!
