That was up maybe a month ago... I'm not sure if it didn't sell and this is a relist, or the buyer is selling it already.

Sounds kind of interesting, but I don't think I'd pay that price for it (considering you can find newer more "fancy" Roscoes in that range). If you wanted MIDI though, what better bass than a Roscoe to have it on!

Nice bass.

But, as often is the case, there might be some misunderstanding about the "MIDI" system...

Quote:
FACTORY INSTALL MIDI SYSTEM (MIDI allows the bass to digitally interface, or communicate with other MIDI equipped devices such as computers, controllers and converters so that you can write, record and edit your music via your computer or create the sounds of virtually any other instrument or synthesized effect live or in the studio right from your instrument. Normally you would have to buy a seperate unit to accomplish this.)
(emphasis mine)
It would appear that seller says you will get MIDI signals right out of the bass. You will not. Indeed, you will need a seperate unit, like the Axon or the Roland GR series.

Then again, it may very well be that I misunderstand the text. After all, English is my second language.

It's definitely been listed on Ebay a couple times. Whether or not it's a scam I have no idea.

Has anyone asked Gard or Keith whether they have ever installed a midi system at the shop?

It's been done, but no longer available. Not enough interest to keep it up, and it is a real PITA.

I just saw this on ebay 2 days ago so it's still available. Interesting concept but does it really work? Are there any limitations or incompatabilities with other midi components?
