Rush: Beyond The Lighted Stage

http://www.rushbeyondthelightedstage.com/

Saw it last night.

If you love the band (as I do), you will love them even more afterward.

If you don't, you will be converted.

See it.

Best two hours I've ever spent in a movie theater. Seriously.

You need to seek psychological assistance.

(I think any musician that doesn't LOVE the band is damaged in some way... )

Heh, I dunno, from what I see on TB, I often believe the reverse is true.

No need in singling Billy out on something we are all guilty of.

I'll have to check the theaters here in the backwoods to see if it's playing anywhere near me. But odds are it isn't. See Alex and Geddy are no Flatt & Scruggs and they're Canadian which by Georgia statute says they're Commies.

God Bless, Ray

Looks like distribution is on a very small scale... I'll have to wait for the DVD. But it's a definite! Geddy is the sole reason I picked up a bass in the first place!

We'll I don't know about Flatt & Scruggs but I do know in Georgia, we never get in a RUSH, and we did just fine with the likes of ABB, Skynyrd, Marshall Tucker, Dregs, ARS, ....etc, etc ........., and while it's true that we might relate Canada to draft dodging Clint type folks who weren't willing to pay the admission price, we don't really think they're commies, They just talk funny, that's all!

Dually noted by the daily John Deere gassings, at a wide open 10 mph.

Because of the "Georgia Patriot Act" all "foreigners" (aka those not in Georgia) are commies and subject to Bubba and his Bud Light fueled rampages

If I could peel him away from his present arrangement, it would be enough of a coup for me to be ready to RETIRE...well, not really, but still, highlight of my career at Roscoe for sure!!!!

...good luck with that idea though...

The Man!

You know, I bet Keith could whip up a nice banjo.

I'd dig a tenor one, myself...

I can't play one period. But I keep one cause it's Georgia law and it will be "sacrificed" on the first fist throwing heckler. (Damned thing weighs 42 lbs)

Try a different approach Who says it has to be a "Roscoe Beck" sig? Why can't a similarly equipped bass be the Darkstrike sig?

1. QUITTING JOB = Telling boss to get bent (10 seconds)
2. LEARN NOT TO SUCK AT BASS = Laying off the good stuff long enough to remember your parts (Never gonna happen)
3. JOIN/START WORLD FAMOUS BAND= Hit up Michael Flatley for the "Riverdance Metal Style" Tour (30 seconds cause you're a good BSer )
4. BECOME LEGENDARY BASSIST= You are a legendary bassist as you are first billed on The Billy & Ray Show. This is the most ingenious idea on Talkbass since Roscoe/Rocket became sponsors. (No time needed Goal achieved)

Total time needed = Less than one minute

So in conclusion as always #2 hits ya at the wrong time. Good luck in accomplishing that goal.

God Bless, Ray

Well, you're close, #1 is the issue for me, as I work for my father.

#2, meh, Lemmy is always slashed, drinks a bottle or two of JD every day, BTW, we also need to hit Lemmy up for a Roscoe sig.....

Other than that, you're dead on!

I'm sure I'll have to wait for the DVD as well, but I'm sure it'll be worth it.

Gene Simmons was actually the reason I picked up bass in the first place. Geddy Lee and Flea were/are the reasons that I want to further myself as a bass player (yes, I said it---I do look up to Flea as a bassist---shoot me).
