After many years as both a first-rate retailer for many brands, including our own, as well as being just a great friend to us - personally and professionally! - Blueberry Hill Bass and Jay Lewis are no longer going to be working with us. Jay has changed his career path, for the better, and we are very happy for him - while at the same time being very sad that he will no longer be with us.
Taking Jay & BHB's place in the Chicago area will be Bass Club Chicago, and Mark Konzen.
I've been speaking with Mark the past few days, and we're thrilled to have him on board. He is a great guy, with a fantastic shop filled with some amazing basses and amps.
Let's all welcome Mark & BCC to the Roscoe family!!!

All the best to both folks. Now, c'mon Chicago...I'm a Cubs fan...so if you're not gonna' do me right with a World Series trophy, how's about ordering six or seven hundred Roscoes? |

Should be an exciting time eh? Should see a nice variety of basses being sent to them, I'd assume.

I build one new Roscoe through Jay (the spalted maple 3005 SKB) and he was a pleasure to work with. Great guy and great attention to details! Hopefully he'll stay in touch with us via the Roscoe forum.
Good luck to Mark & Bass Club Chicago! A great big Roscoehead welcome! |

Welcome Bass Club Chicago. You never know someday I may just order a deep dish pizza and a SKB! (Go Cubs, not White Sox )
Best of luck to both companies. |

Can't wait to see the new stock online at Bass Club. Hopefully they'll be the birthplace for many new Roscoe Heads. |

Be careful how you name these threads in the future. Ya scared me.
I thought you were gonna announce you were headed home to NOLA to play tuba in a dixieland band or somethin'. Or be waterboy for the Saints or the Mud Dogs. |

Speaking of happy/sad, how 'bout them Seahawks? (couldn't let it pass unnoticed)

I wish him the best of luck in the future.
I've dealt with Mark at The Bass Club Chicago, and was VERY impressed with his level of service and communication. He should make a great dealer, IMO.

- Oren | Great for you, Oren. I love Chicago. Please go downtown and order a huge Sausage n Onion for me at Gino's. None like it on planet Earth.
You are the Seahawks lucky charm, bro., maybe you'll get to see Seattle beat the Bears!
Although they might have a tougher time in Chi town...unlike last week's defense, the Bears have watched a few clips and have a firm revelation that it's not good business to play "touch football" in the NFL.
Although it took a couple days, I really feel sorry for Gard. |

I was looking at ticket prices for the game on Sunday - the start at around $200 for the nosebleed sections and rapidly go up from there - I guess I'll have to go be a discreet Seattle fan in some bar. Agree that this is likely to be a harder game for 'em. At least they got this far - and anything can happen ( look at the Huskies vs Nebraska).
