Thanks for the compliment PT, it really is beautiful in person.

The specs on mine are:

LG-3000 fretless
Spanish cedar/box elder burl
lined diamondwood board
Bart pickups and pre
We also added a Hipshot B bridge and Hipshot ultralight tuners

There is a maple/mahogany/maple laminate between the top and body core. That is what you're seeing. It looks great and seemingly hasn't hurt the tone of the bass, because it's very resonant and sounds wonderful. It just sings from top to bottom.

That said, I think the fretted one I have coming is going to really knock you guys out!

Ok, ok, you dont have to twist my arm THAT much. This is the only half decent pic Ive been able to take of mine. BTW, just did some recording tonight with it, and holy crap, does that thing slice through the mix (acousitc guitar, vocals, mandolin, bass, durms) like no ones business. Its pretty awesome. Ill have to put up a link once I get a copy of the song. Oh yeah, heres my pic:
