A sign of even more difficult times ahead?

I've heard of "values" to be gained in this recession, but this is riduculous...

Found it:

SKB 3006
Exhibition Quilt Maple top
Swamp Ash body
Cobalt Blue finish
Bart/Bart electronics
Bolivian Rosewood fingerboard
Ivory nut
Black hardware

This one shipped just after I got here, 5/4/05, to Bass Alone in San Diego. Can't say I personally remember it, but that was what...4.5 years ago?

Looks great, and I'm a bit surprised at the present price, but I'm guessing it will climb a bit before it sells....

WOW...def. a crazy price...I bet a few $$ it pops up on here for a few $$ profit in a couple of months

Its def. the economy but I also noticed with my dealings on ebay that the description does a lot for you. Ive even found changing a few words in my description gained more interest/bids.This guys description really didnt lend itself well for those that arent familiar with a non Fender brand...obviously those that do know...know this was a steal.

I work in the music industry and even 7 years ago when I started, Jan and Feb are the slowest times of the year. I thought it was the Northeast because people are paying to heat their house, but maybe it's widespread. A color, a description, the fact it's 6 strings, time of year, could be any number of things on eBay. I never heard of Roscoe until about 6 years ago when my instructor first got his. I think someone buying a Roscoe rather deal with a dealer than eBay, I assume just based on the fact they are so unique one to one, people are put off buying something site unseen/unplayed. People are starting to see Christmas credit card bills as well, so I hope it's a time of year thing moreso than the economy. By the way, have you seen how the vintage market has tanked?

Roscoe Marketing

This just reminds me of the 5 string Roscoe I found at Music Go Round in Wilkes Barre recently - they had never seen one before and priced it at $1400 (If I was a 5 player, I'd have picked it up; if I had the $ I'd have picked it up and resold it).
