SKB 3005 Vs. MTD 535

I have the opportunity to get a Roscoe SKB 3005 with a Cedar body, tiger myrtle top and spalted purpleheart board in an even trade.....I haven't really heard a Roscoe before, but from the design they seem comparable to some of the work MTD does........will a Roscoe with those specs work as well as an MTD Ash body maple board at being a very modern sounding bass with a crisp slap tone?.........

Not if the Roscoe has the standard Bart/Bart setup I think. You'd be closer to it if the Roscoe had the Nordstrand/Aggie set up.

It has a Bart/Audere setup.............

The Bart/Audere might do it too, although I've only heard the Nord/Audere (which is better IMO than the MTD

).
