Thought I'd see if any of you guys could give me any history on it.
LG2005
Serial # 3924
It's Mahogany body with walnut top, maple finger board, and batolini pus and pre.
Love this thing so far. It's my first 35" scale so I'm hitting a few clunkers but we'll get it eventually. It's worth it for the killer B String |

How ironic is it that you called me from Atlanta around 15 years ago to tell me that they had a couple of used Roscoe's for sale (you knew that I wanted to buy one). 15 Roscoe's later, for me (one a year!), you finally procure one for yourself!
That's a nice one Bro! Enjoy it and make sure that you bring it by sometime. The first setup for local Roscoe owners is always free! |

Did you actually mean to say that you own 15 Roscoes, as in one new or additional one each year since 15 years ago? FIFTEEN?!?!?!

No, I've owned 15 different Roscoe's over the last 15 years. I had to try out all of the wood, p/u and pre combinations (several were also 6'ers; It took a few for me to realize I was a 5'ver ).
I currently have 2 Roscoes. One fretted & one fretless. Those 2 will have to be pried from my cold dead hands (to steal a quote from Gard!). |

I'm on my third and gassing for at least two more.
It would seem you really can't get enough of a good thing.... |

Can you tell me approx. when this bass was made and any info from the factory?
And I'm already thinking about what my next Roscoe should be. |

Nervously he approached the worn wood podium with the cheap microphone recklessly attached with duct tape and old gum on it's top.
"Hello, my name is Dennis and I'm a Roscoeholic".. He said somewhat sheepishly, weeks of attending the meetings prepared him for the grumbling reply from
the number of seated twitching fingered Roscoe heads half hidden in the dimly lit hall. "Hello Dennis". |

Sadly, I can only estimate the production and guess at the specs from photos, as our records from that period are...well...we don't know where they are...
...anything after serial number 5000 we have in our database, and we're going to start reconstructing stuff like yours soon.
So - estimate on the completion date is early to mid 90's (can't do much more than that sorry...), specs on the bass itself based on the photos in this thread are:
LG 2005
Walnut top
? back (I can see figured maple "peeking" around the edge where the arm cut is, and there were some made with maple bodies, so that is possible...but without a shot of the back, can't be certain)
Natural finish
Bartolini/Roscoe pickups
Bartolini 3-band preamp
Maple fingerboard
Let me know if there's anything else I can do to help out, and if you want some more info, please just e-mail (info@roscoeguitars.com) me some photos of the back of the body and the headstock (it's probably a graphite nut, but can't see enough detail in the full length shot, sorry).
