Spreadin' the Roscoe love

Long time no been here 'heads, what's up?!

I just got back from Rudy's NYC where their repair tech, Jeremy, just installed the Roscoe Bart Gard sent me to replace the CB. I had it wired so the coil next to bridge under the bass strings and the coil close to the neck under the treble strings are active. Think reverse P bass right next to the bridge. I also had the pup wired directly to the jack. The result... J focus with a little P bark and girth. It's even tighter and more growly now. I am in complete tonal flavor country! Isn't it amazing how a positive change in tone makes an instrument feel different/better!

While there I met a dude having work done on his 1978 Ovation mahogany monster. Not my thing, but still pretty freakin' cool. Anyway, I insisted that he play my bass and needless to say it evoked the obligatory "WOW". I then showed it to the guy in the bass department and got the second "WOW". I told him, "You guys should sell these". He advised me to show it to the manager next week, which I have every intention of doing. It's long overdue to have a Roscoe presence on 48th st. I'm just trying to spread the love...

+1 Coolness Damon! I was in Rudy's a couple of years ago (day of the failed Times Square bomb) and scolded them for not having a Roscoe. I did get to meet Larry Hartke and hung out with him 'til my wife and 2 girls dragged me out kicking and screaming.

They would sell there I think. Hope all is well, mon.

I've been trying to get our stuff into Rudy's forever....Damon, find out who I need to talk to, we would very much like a presence in NYC, and Rudy's seems to be "the" place.

Dean is the man to talk to. I believe he's Rudy's right hand man. He's been there forever. I've been harassing him since I was a teenager. He splits time between 48th st. and the soho location, but spends more time at 48th... Gotta go spend time with my new tone and some Left Hand Nitro milk stout and some Lagunitas Little Sumpin' Sumpin'!

Dean, I've had that name passed to me before, believe I've talked with him a couple times. I'll have to give him a yell again Monday...

...sounds like you had a good Friday night lined up, Damon!

Yeah Damon,
We haven't seen you lurking around on the forum for a while.
Sounds like you've had the Roscoe modded in a unique way. let us know how you like long term.
It's always nice to change things up a bit to help motivate us to push a little harder!

I've never been to Rudy's or NYC. My wife tells me that's the next trip we're making. Maybe, thanks in part to you shaking the tree a bit, I'll get to play a Roscoe there when I go!
