Standard Series 7 string?

Any chance of a 7 string in the standard series? I'd like to replace my Conklin GT7 with a USA made bass, preferably a Roscoe, but can't afford one of the higher end models.

I would expect there is little 'standard' about a 7 string. Expensive bridge/hardware, considerably more wood in the next etc etc. I would expect that by the time they are done it won't be a great deal less expensive than a 'full' spec with a sold body/'basic' top.

It may be close, depending on the specs chosen for the Custom version, but I believe we could keep the price sensible EITHER way.

Since we are talking Standards here, is there any chance for guitars coming to the Standard lineup?

They'll be LG's, the Century body just looks "off" as a guitar, IMO. It's too big.

There'll be Standard Plus guitars as well, just so you have even more anguish. Oh, and eventually, both dual humbucker versions, as well as HSS; and, stop tail piece or non-locking (Wilkinson) vibrato bridges.

I'd definitely pick the LG body for a guitar, I'd imagine the Centurys long horn would bring the nut too close.

My word, I can't understand how you guys do the limited options CS/CS Plus lines, but without limiting the options much....

I've been playing a bit more guitar these days in my home recordings. A Roscoe guitar would look very cool in that corner of my music room!

Haven't the need...or the funding...but all of a sudden a seven-string standard plus is sounding mighty sexy. Alder body...koa top...rosewood board... S. L. U. R. P.
