Stands...what do you all use at gigs?

Along with a new gig bag I could use a new stand or two. What do you guys use? If you take multiple basses do you use a multiple bass stand or multiple individual stands?

Don't gig anymore, but have one of these in my TV/music room and heartily recommend them.

Either the Hercules 3 guitar one, or a briefcase style 5 guitar one (Warwick Rockstand).

I made a couple of hooky gadgets that hang both of my basses on the side of my amp. Stages here are small, the band is five members and real estate is scarce.

On Stage 7 guitar stand. My guitar player and me each carry two inside for gigs.

I almost always bring two basses and it depends on the stage size and other logistics. Sometimes my gig bag will stay on stage and the 2nd bass stays in the bag. When I swap I put one back in the bag, take the other out. Other gigs the bag is back stage and if I'm not actively swapping the 2nd bass stays there. If there is room then a Hercules stand for the 2nd bass on stage.

I'm very glad someone started this thread because I need a recommendation as well -

I've been using this stand-

http://www.sweetwater.com/store/deta...FQ6EnQodWy0Adw

It works great, fits in my bags, guitars balance well on it. However, it wouldn't work with my LG.

Can anyone recommend a small stand(fits in a backpack), balances well, and will handle the shape of an LG?

I gig with one of these for my LG - http://www.herculesstands.com/guitars/GS301B.html

Well made and folds flat so it actually fits in the pocket on my ProTec gig bag (fits in a roscoe gig bag too!). If its a small stage or a crowded venue though I just have my gig bag propped against my cab an slide the bass into that.

I don't know if I trust my Roscoe on a stand that just has a bottom. Seems kind of risky. I'd love a small very portable stand like that, but it looks like someone could walk by and dump your bass without much effort.

I've been using those "neckless" stands forever. I don't know the brand, but I've got 8 or 10 of them laying around. I grab the two closest to the door on the way out, and I've never had an issue.

Hmmm. I think I've seen them at one of the local stores. Maybe I'll give them a closer look.

If I bring a stand at all...

...Rockstand 5 space.

Usually, just tuck it in the gigbag on breaks. Typically I just bring The Stormtrooper on gigs lately.
