Go Jason, Go Jason, It's my birthday, It's my birthday.

Gard, Just seeing that Amboyna, wenge, wedge neck, I can't hardly get the stupid grin off my face.

That is so cool.

Thanks for the pics. By the way, I hear black is very slimming.

So the Shirt should look great on ..... whomever wears it.

Yea, that's it.

Thumbs up

Man! I forgot how cool this thread is!

It actually makes me nervous seeing them using that huge band saw!

So, general stupid question that seems like it might belong in the neck thread. Are Roscoe necks unfinished, or do they (if only the maple) have gloss coats on them?

All necks are finished. Three layers of finish - polyurethane sealer, polyester primer, satin nitrocellulose lacquer final coat.

Gard, I'd like to thank you guys for the quality instruments you put out, especially the not-at-all lower line of the century standards.

And from a louisianian, im glad to know a Saints fan is looking over such a quality bass company

Hey, Brian - what Gard said, but I would also add that the overall effect of the Roscoe neck finish is very thin. It's nowhere near a glossy/gloppy neck finish, it's quite smooth and satin. Shoot, they don't even fill the pores of the wood.

If you like the feel of a Warwick neck (and I know you do), you'd LOVE the feel of a Roscoe neck.

Hey man, thanks for the kind words....and with the way our offense is playing this year, I wouldn't call us "high quality" like they are (thankfully, we're better right now ). Drew needs to wake the **** up and start playing some football - AND SOON, or all hell is gonna break loose.

Where in Lousy-ana are you? FWIW I grew up in Slidell, and lived in BRLA for a while in the late 90's.

Hey Gard, I was watching a show the other night (I believe) called "Swamp Loggers" and they were in a town in LA called Slidell. I said to my wife, I think the Gardfather hails from there!

On the same night we caught "Billy the exterminator", which is a funny show and I believe it is based in Louisiana as well. Y'all are surely entertaining!

That we are!!!

We also make the best food on the planet, pretty good beer (that Turbodog you like, brewed in Abita Springs, which is just about 20 minutes west of Slidell ), and have a pretty decent football team....

My concern exactly - I am not a fan at all of sticky, thick neck finishes. Maybe I'm just a sweaty guy, but they do not feel good under my hands. I call it the "Stingray effect", as every Stingray with a finished neck I've played has that feel. Yuck.
