Support Group for Gard

Fellow Roscoeheads,

It is time we make preparation concerning our unelected leader's well being in reference to the looming darkness approaching this weekend.

We all know the past several weeks haven't been easy on ole Gard...having to dig up excuse after lame excuse for the sophmoric and substandard performance the New Orleans Saints have displayed time and time again on national television.

This weekend could send him over the edge.

If you live in North Carolina and have any love at all for your fellow man (or a bass in progress on verbal contract), please take the time to stop by the shop and Gard's home address to make sure all sharp objects, handguns, poisonous cleaning solutions and ropes have been removed from the premises.

We don't want to be caught off guard, (no pun intended) asking ourselves, "why didn't we see this coming?"

It's rumored that Gard is secretly becoming a Cowboy fan in anticipation of them winning another Superbowl. I suspect that he'll come fully out of the closet if NO's get's upset this weekend.

I guess that LilRay has finally convinced him that the cowboys rule! LilRay does talk a good talk!

.......I'm still hoping that the Falcons can sneak in!

Just think how depressed he would be if the Vikings win the superbowl and Gards old pal Brett was to win the MVP of the game.

CD, you'd better hope the Cards at least show up tomorrow, because if they don't you know I will be dancing all over your grave.

As a fan of the team that lost TWICE to San Francisco this season, you should know better than gloating in advance. Yeah, the Saints dropped one to Tampon Bray, blah, blah, blah...but they also beat them like a red-headed stepchild earlier in the season.

And Joe, being a fan of a rival NFC South team, that we beat TWICE, you should just know to shut it without being told, since the Saints already told your team TWICE.

Modulus, I do hope you're ready for the typical Brent FAR-VUH swan dive, because it's coming....maybe not Sunday, but he ain't going to be playing on 2.7.10...

Oh man, You guys are gonna get an earful when the illustrious "Grand Poobah" wakes from his nights slumber.

Doug, I don't know if you or Joe'll get the worst of it. The Saints are already SB Champs in Gard's world, you can't tell him any differently. It may ruin him NOW.

Joe, I don't care what I talk, I think ole Gard would rather give me a "free" Roscoe than to sport Silver and Blue. (We can't tell him that the Raiders original colors were Black & Gold and that combo has stank on it even Brees can't knock off)

All I know is he';s in for a torrent of smack talk if NOLA doesn't win the SB

EDIT; HE'S AWAKEN! RUUUUN!

God Bless, Ray

Do you think the Saints would be kind enough to rent out the Superdome so you can enjoy an NFC championship on home turf?
Maybe we can reserve you a 50-yard line seat with plenty your favorite perennial NO Saint gametime snack..CROW!

Won't have to rent it out, because they'll be playing there on 1.24.10.

Hope Kurt enjoys playing in the Pro Bowl.

Naw, I know they could lose any day. I'm not as delusional as some want to think I am.

What I am is a HUGE fan of my team, and based on everything I've seen, I firmly believe they are the best team in the NFC (supported by their RECORD this season), and probably the best team in the NFL right now.

Will I be bummed if they don't make it, heck yeah, probably borderline depressed! Will I crawl in a hole and never come out? Heck no, I'll be right in there rooting for whoever my #2 team is (most likely the AFC - I'm bettin' on the Chargers right now...yeah, they'll be the team to lose to the Saints in Miami! ).

As for colors, I don't give a hoot who was or is what, I bleed SAINTS black & gold, and no one can even begin to understand what that is like, unless they have lived it along side me since 1967 (technically, 1969 for me! ).

You know you might have a point...if the Saints can play over their heads one more time and defend against Hurricane Warner with the same verocity you defend the ongoing inneptitude of your team, we could be in trouble tomorrow.

I know man, the good thing is, having the #1 seed you can let all the crap come to you, and hope the Saints lower the boom

As you SHOULD be. So am I. The NFL's a chess match and SOMETIMES the players/coaches are in control. I think GB got hosed. As for the "best team", that'll be decided in Miami, close to my birthday.

The Chargers are smokin' right now, but the worst mistake ANY team can make right now is to think they have the Lombardi locked.

Shoot my guys just won their first playoff game in a dozen years, (we've had our bouts with stinkage many times).

I just hope the Championship is between NOLA and Dallas.

God Bless, Ray

ROFL....I'm so going to enjoy coming back in here Sunday morning (I've got a gig tomorrow night, during which I will be celebrating my boys going to the NFC Championship) and reminding you of this post.

Oh, and there is no such word as "verocity", I think you were trying to say "ferocity"...and "ineptitude" is only spelled with one "n"...and "inept" is how Warner is going to look with all the pressure he's about to see tomorrow afternoon.

Side prediction: 4 turnovers for the Cards, 3 on INT's

Factoid: Turnover numbers for the 2009 season - Saints +11, Cards -7

Trust me...he'd fall down before a graven image of Romo before that will ever happen.

Yeah, but you gotta back it up. I have complete confidence they will.

I don't buy into the whole "bad call costing them the game" tripe. If Rogers had hit a wide open receiver 2 plays earlier, GB would have won, but he overthrew him. Gotta make the plays when they're there, or you might lose because of one small mistake. The refs don't have the benefit of multiple angles and slow motion replay on things like penalties, so they do the best they can - I'm not saying I haven't screamed bloody murder when they miss a blatant call, I sure as hell do! - but I don't buy into any conspiracy theories either. They aren't trying to make bad calls! (but boy they sure can! )

Yup.

Indeed, but I doubt anyone can empathize with the Saints fans...MAYBE Detroit fans?

As do I, so the Saints can show everyone what a difference two healthy starting CBs (both were out for the Dallas game), a healthy starting DT, and a healthy starting SLB brings to their defense; and what a 100% healthy Jeremy Shockey, Pierre Thomas, Reggie Bush, Mike Bell, and Lance Moore bring to the offense.

I'd venture it won't bring a 7 point loss that was in doubt until the last 20 seconds.

Well Excuuuuuse me, oh great King of the Anal Grammar Police!

I must've slipped a key on the ole key board...but now that you mention it, we might have to get Webster to add another "n" to fitly describe the late season self-destruction of the Aints.

Interesting how you bring up another quarterback other than Brees regarding reaction to pressure.

Doug, I've decided to disband my support group, and it is quite apparent that I have no need for it.

However, maybe we can rearrange a few things, and create one for you...as I think you might just need one after the DESTRUCTION of your Cardinals...man, they're gonna be cleaning red feathers off the field in the 'Dome for the whole week after that one...

(I TOLD you guys they were just rope-a-doping. )

Oh, and how did Kurt handle all the pressure? Drew did just fine...as he didn't GET any...

Since I don't partake of the Cards' victories vicariously, I don't endure their losses either...it's just fun to kick you in the butt every now and then.

You might want to wait until the evening of the 24th.

BTW & FYI- Your immediate family has been paying me $20.00 a week to be nice to you and I just noticed their account is presently past due.

...who's your buddy?

Hey Joe,

Gard will still need all the emotional and psychological support available if the Vikes head to the SB via New Orleans.

...modulusman will torment him beyond belief.

...of course I won't give him any grief.
