Tape wound?

Have any of you ever experimented with tape wound flats on your fretless Roscoe?

I have always had nickle rounds (DR) on mine and love it, but thought for the sake of science it might be time to change it up a bit.

Not on my Roscoe no, but I love them on other basses, both fretless and fretted, definitely wanna check them out on my SKB sometime.

I haven't tried the tape wounds but I had real nice results from the TI flats. Very nice tone and a good alternative to RW nickels.
