Nice top! That is some HEAVY quilt! It actually has a flamed look (since it extends from top to bottom)! Kind of looks like dripping water with a spear extending from the center (L to R). |

| | | | Congrats man. My wife and I are expecting our first on January 5th.
I'm refinishing a Les Paul for her and hope to be done by the time she shows up. Never too early to start!

Thanks! I love that spear in the center of the match. I'm hopefully optimistic that it's not so close to an end that I lose that lovely little nuance, but I won't know until I see the next stage. Quote:

Lots of props to Tony for the work he's done on her so far (I owe you a beer or three, dude). The matching job on the patterning is more than I'd hoped for and I'm humbled and grateful that the folks building this baby have SKILLZ.
Gard - thanks for keeping an eye on her and sending the occasional teaser pic.

Gard - thanks for keeping an eye on her and sending the occasional teaser pic. | Actually, my apologies for the misleading information: almost every bit of what you see THERE is Reed (aka "the new kid in town"), Tony glued the top together, the rest has been Reed (gluing the top to the body blank, cutting it out, routing the neck pocket), and he will also be doing most of the rest of THIS part of the build - he also does final shaping/sanding. Then Tony takes over for color and primer, and will be building and shaping the neck.
I just sit here looking goofy and trying not to screw up the answers to questions... |

Props to Reed then and I eagerly await Tony's magical hands taking care of baby in future stages. Reed doesn't drink swill does he? That would be a problem.

Can't wait for a pic of my new build...

She gets her first run out the weekend of the pickup. I'm stopping by to get her on my way to bass boot camp.
