Is there a site for 34" scale Roscoe owners?

I am not a fan of 35" scale basses .
I am a fan of Roscoe basses.
I am interested in knowing more about 34" scale 6 string Roscoe basses.

I think there's a 34" scale 6 string Roscoe for sale in the classifieds at the moment.

I am also interested in Roscoe basses, but have sworn off 35" scale 5er's.
I've been told a Roscoe 35" scale feels like 34" as far as reach goes. What do you guys say?

^ Yes. Play a stock Roscoe bass before you reach any "must have 34-inch" conclusions.

Made zero difference for me. After being afraid of the same issues.

I wish I could try one. I've been looking at the 'action shots' thread and they sure look comfy. And I'm surprised at so many familiar TB'ers in this group. Didn't know y'all were Roscoeheadz!
I'm coming from a Fender/Sadowsky feel, how will the reach and neck profile compare?

Neck is thinner and faster. MUCH better than any Fender I've owned. Roscoes are VERY comfortable to play.

Neck is modern slim style, very nice.

I don't find the reach long at all, but I've almost always mainly played basses with short upper horns,so I'm used to long reaches.

The Century Standard V(35") reach feels to me no different than my Fender Roscoe Beck(34"), but I couldn't say for sure, maybe the Roscoe Beck has a longer reach than standard Fenders.

I recently made the switch from a Sadowsky M5-24 to a 5 string SKB. I was concerned about the 35" scale, hadn't played one before, smaller hands... similar concerns to many. What I found is that the slightly narrower string spacing combined with the neck profile and balance of the Roscoe is more comfortable to me. Both are extremely well designed and built basses... I just found the 35" Roscoe to be surprisingly more comfortable to my hands than the 34", wider spaced Sadowsky.

my preference is a 34", 19mm spaced instrument. I double on upright and have played a number of 35" scale basses including thr Roscoe. I started this thread to see if there was a forum for 34" scale Roscoe owners. It appears that it doesn't exist.
Thank you for your input especially theshape101.

Kerry,
Check out this thread and maybe contact a few of the 34" scale Roscoe owners that posted on the thread (for specific questions).

34" scale 5 or 6 strings?

I've only played/setup one 34" scale Roscoe and it was a 3005. I noticed zero difference in the overall sound of the bass (low B primarily was my concern).
Hope that this helps some.

I've owned 34" and 35" Roscoes ..The biggest difference to me is the 35" has more string tension. I prefer the feel and lighter string tension of the 34"

I have played both and own both. The 34 19mm spaced necks feel a little flatter on the back like a d profile. They both play great although I think I prefer the 19mm 34 neck. Whether this is due to spacing or scale length Im unsure! Neither is a deal breaker thats for sure!

Ordering a LG3006, this is my main concern.
I prefer lighter string tension also.
Also have a left hand wrist problem.
34" scale is an upcharge, but for a dream bass it's no biggie.
