Tried one of the new Standard series....

WOW! Talk about a lively bass!! This thing sounded great. It weighed SEVEN pounds as well. I picked it up and exclaimed "Holy $#!+ this thing is light!" lol. This bass was just totally solid. If I had the money to burn (and didn't just buy a new Shuttle 6.0+210 combo) I would have bought it on the spot. Here's a photo of the beast that I played at Bass Specialties in Bensalem, PA:

A new roscoe ?

Pricing isn't bad on this beast either !!! I dig the boutique yet still plain jane thing, it looks modest and hot at the same time.

It'll probably GET there on the 26th (if all goes well, it's shipping today), so you're safe.

These will be nice and cheap when they come around to getting used, great for those wanting a roscoe that simply cant afford one.

Rakie - You could be waiting some time for used Standards to show up. When I receive my CS6 fretless in the next month or two, I guarantee you it won't be leaving my hands...

oh, im sure it'll take awhile.

And I really love all the over the top fancy tops and such, but something about a clean simple bass like that, with tone for days just does it for me.

I like the simple one's too

Just a heads-up

There is a black onyx Century Standard V for sale, listed as 'Used' on a certain Louisiana bass specialists website if anyone is interested. Looks to be in almost 'perfect' condition.

Nice Code Nakedfish, it didn't take too much to disipher.

It may have been a loner or because of the small ding on the horn it is being sold as used. As small as the ding is, saving $100 you could buy the bass and 3 packs of Black Beauties for the price of a new one.
