Unusual roscoe

So I thought I'd share this with the other Roscoe lovers. This has been my goto bass for many years and Ive never seen another like it. LG shape with barts in a straight position, black painted body so unsure of wood but on the side theres an exposed laminate that looks like mahogany under the crazy burl maple top in a yellow finish. Faux neck through look with what appears to be stripes of bubinga/tiger maple/ and zebra wood. Three bolt neck design, no serial number on back of neck. Baseball thick neck but amazingly comfortable profile with low action and unusual offset dots. Punchiest bass Ive ever played! Original owner put on a smith bridge and theres a mystery preamp with internal dip switches. Supposedly Brian Barret looked at it and had no idea what it was. Gard asked me to send some pics to see if he could figure out when it was made. Probably my only bass that Ill never get rid of.

Very interesting.

edit: Doesn't quite look like an LG shape to me. The treble-side lower bout seems to have a bit too much curve coming out of the waist. LGs are flatter on that side than what I'm seeing.

Looks like a Basstec semi-parametric preamp.
